Quick Tick
Facts
Tick is the common name
for the small arachnids (mites). Ticks
are ectoparasites (external
parasites), living on
the blood of mammals, birds,
and reptiles (amphibians). Ticks can
carry a number of diseases, including
Lyme disease. There are 900+ species
of Tick. Ticks do not jump or fly, although
they may drop from their perch
and fall onto a host.
