Hiking is a popular recreational pastime in Arizona, as a get-away from urban living, while enjoying the beauty and wildlife of nature. Hiking season runs all year in Arizona. Of course, with unpredictable weather and fires, some trails may be closed anytime during the season. The websites for the area will usually inform you of any closures or cautions and we provide links for most of the trails in our directory Search Tucson Pictures

Small Camera Tripod

We use these small plastic tripods to hold and point our digital cameras. The tripods fold up and weigh almost nothing so they can be carried in a camera bag or backpack. These along with a timer setting on the shutter like most digital cameras now offer make this a very effective tool for taking self portraits and getting high quality photos that might not be possible when holding the camera

The tripod is strong and sturdy. The legs have removable rubber tips that hold well on just about every surface we've tried to use it on. Smooth, rough, wet or dry, this tripod has worked in all conditions so far

Folded it is about as large as 3 sharpie markers, so it fits in just about every camera bag pocket or backpack pocket we've attempted to store it in.

The screw that holds it securely to just about every camera (film, video and digital) with the standard screw. There is a rubber pad on the platform below the screw to keep a tight grip on whatever camera it is being used with

The folded tripod opens into two halves. Then one half splits in two to create the three legs

The split legs can be opened all the way, or opened less than full to gain height (at the loss of stability) and the legs can be opened nonsymmetricaly to adapt to uneven terrain and keep the camera level
