We simply remove the metal (alice)
fastener and replace it with
a pull made from 550 cord

|
|
What you need for this Modification:
A pouch, some 550 cord and about
2 minutes

|
|
Simple to do, just feed some
550 cord through the drain hole
art the bottom of the pouch.
I remove the inner strands of
the 550 cord and use just the
otter shell. Some drain holes
are larger than others, this
one prevents use of the complete
550 cord

|
|
I've never been a fan of the
single ALICE gear clip for these
bags, open the clip and it will
pretty much fall off.

|
|
A more tactical use is for pistol
magazines, two large mags fit
well and are secure. For spare
mags in a larger bag this works
great, just pull the 550 cord
and your mags come to the top

|
|
The loop on the back made for
the ALICE clip is useful for
a small carabineer. this system
works well for securing the small
pouch

|
|
Smoking is bad, but we find
that these bags are also good
for cigarette packs and smaller
cigar packs
|
|
|
Small pistols like this KelTec
P3AT fit inside the pouch too.
For CCW carry, or for light hiking
the P3AT can be kept muzzle down
and away from sight when worn
around the neck. When carrying
this way is also fairly quick
to draw

|
|
When inserted barrel first it
wouldn't fit in all the way,
but still is able to be secured
with the trigger protected. I
would not recommend wearing around
the neck this way though
