Buy
a Jeep from Greg: Part
Two
the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Thinking
about a vehicle that can tackle the rugged
dirt roads here in Southern Arizona?
Jeep is the obvious choice. And when
it comes to Jeep in Southern Arizona,
Greg is the guy to talk to. He owns a
Jeep and drives it off road, not just
to work. Oh yea, he sells them too. Here
are some pictures of a trip we took in
this new four-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

|
Unlike the previous Wrangler
Unlimited, a stretched
version of the standard two-door,
the 2007 Wrangler Unlimited uses
a 20.6-inch-longer wheelbase
to make room for full-size rear
doors. It's 5.5 inches wider
than previous Wranglers, same
as the standard two-door Wrangler
models.

|
|
The Wrangler debuted in 1987,
was updated in 1997 and again
in 2007, the Wrangler is produced
in Toledo,
Ohio. It has a 202 hp, 3.8-liter
V6 Engine

|
|
In 2004, Jeep introduced the
Wrangler Unlimited. In 2007
model year brought the complete
redesign of the Jeep Wrangler,
in both two and four-door models.
This is the first generation
of the Jeep Wrangler to have
a change in the tail lamps. This
one has the optional 3-piece
modular hardtop and full size
doors

|
|
The long-wheelbase Jeep
Wrangler Unlimited 4-door,
is available in three packages;
X, Sahara and Rubicon.

|
|
A six-speed manual transmission
is standard (a four-speed
automatic transmission offered
as an option). The 2007 Wrangler
Unlimited has the
Jeep Command-Trac NV241 part-time
two-speed transfer case with
an optional Trac-Loc limited-slip
differential
The 2007 Wrangler
Unlimited runs almost all vehicle
functions other than steering
under computer software control.
Engine, transmission, and to
some extent braking are computer
controlled, as are lights and
auxiliary systems. It has a brand
new instrument panel

|
|
Stability control is a new safety
feature for the JK Wrangler.
All versions offer off-road tuned
anti-lock brake system and traction
control system with electronic
limited slip differential.

This ride was a lot of fun.
We got out of town and up into
the mountains in no time, and
there were many roads to
drive on

|
|
Saguaro cactus grow all over
the deserts around Tucson. And
existing 4x4 roads lets you experience
areas few others have seen

|
|
The only disappointing part
of our ride was the decision
to turn around. However we knew
the drive back out would be just
as fun as the way in was.
