Hiking is a popular recreational pastime in Arizona, as a get-away from urban living, while enjoying the beauty and wildlife of nature. Hiking season runs all year in Arizona. Of course, with unpredictable weather and fires, some trails may be closed anytime during the season. The websites for the area will usually inform you of any closures or cautions and we provide links for most of the trails in our directory Search Tucson Pictures

Victorinox Huntsman - Boy Scouts of America (B.S.A.) model

This is another of my all time favorite knives. This one is about 20 years old and is in fine working shape wwith plenty of life left in it. I would be worried that Victorinox would go out of business making knives that last a lifetime, but they make so many styles we end up buying more than one, some of us have many more than one.. This one features the following tools: Large and small blades, Can opener with small screwdriver, Bottle opener with large screwdriver and wire stripper, Reamer with sewing eye, Keyring, Toothpick, Tweezers, Corkscrew, Scissors, Wood saw. Now they also have a Hook, this one is an old one before they added that tool,. It is 3-1/2 inches closed. All the blades and tools are Stainless steel. And the red composition handle has the Boy Scouts of America logo

I've had this knife since I was a scout so it's been used on caming trips, hikes and road trips for 20 years or so. I sharpen the blades occasionally, and this knife has held up well over the years.

I loop a small length of orange 550 cord through the lanyard ring. on this knife the main blade opens away from the lanyard. This is a comfortable size knife to use, not too narrow, not too wide

Compared to the larger Victorinox Rescue Tool the Hunstman almost looks small

The Executive is a 3" knife, the Huntsman is a 3-1/2" knife and the RescueTool is 4-3/8" long. The Rescue Tool is a bit large for pocket carry, but not too large to carry on a belt all the time.
