C-130 and
Pavehawk (Blackhawk) Refueling In
Air
Looked up one morning and
saw this Blackhawk being refueld by a
C130. I never have seen this before,
and was able to get some pictures of
it as it happened in the skies above
Tucson, Arizona

|
The plane could be an EC-130H
Compass Call which are
based out of DM or it is just
a regular C-130 Hercules hard
to tell from the pics

|
|
The
primary mission of the HH-60G
Pave Hawk helicopter is to
conduct day or night combat
search and rescue, or CSAR,
operations into hostile environments
to recover downed aircrew or
other isolated personnel during
war

|
|
The
EC-130H Compass Call is an
airborne tactical weapon system
using a heavily modified version
of the C-130 Hercules airframe.
The system disrupts enemy command
and control communications
and limits adversary coordination
essential for enemy force management.
The Compass Call system employs
the offensive counterinformation
and electronic attack or
EA capabilities in support
of U.S. and Coalition tactical
air, surface, and special operations
forces
