Cottage
Bakery and Cafe Review
October 2007
This
was our first visit to the Cottage Bakery
and Cafe. The food and service
were great, and we'll go back again to
try out more of their menu

We'll
go back again, this is a good place.

The Cottage Bakery is a stand
alone building on Tucson's east
side. It has plenty of parking
with inside and outdoor seating

|
|
There are two floors for sitting.
Many of the tables are made with
unique designs

|
|
Order at the counter, the menu
is written on chalk boards hanging
from the ceiling

|
|
The outdoor seating and a look
up at the ceiling A sign of a
good restaurant is the cleanliness
of their building and this ceiling
must be hard to clean. It's spotless,
and in my opinion a very good
sign.

|
|
Ordered vegetarian, a meatless
breakfast burrito, potatoes and
a lemon square.. it is a bakery
after all, also an Iced tea which
was very good

|
|
Their food is made to order
(not reheated or kept warm all
morning) a lot of fresh ingredients
and generous portions.

|
|
Standard breakfast special:
Eggs, Bacon, potatoes and toast.
Again quite good. They offer
pastry filling instead of standard
jelly for the toast

|
|
Also had a bagel, no complaints.
A vanilla milkshake and an iced
coffee drink

|
|
Ended the meal with Lemon Square
and a few blondie's, which were
the free samples of the day at
the counter. I've been a fan
of these lemon bars since 1997,
they still taste great, very
refreshing

We'll
go back again, this is a good place.
