One
of the best values in pizza around Tucson
is Costco. It's not real
easy to park and get to their pizza concessions,
but it's worth the effort. At about $10,
this giant pizza with twice the cheese
of most pizzas in town. We either call
and order one while in line when buying
things, pay for it with the rest of our
items at the checkout, then just pick
it up on the way out. Or we call
in an order and pick it up if we are
in that part of town

There are two or three costcos
in town, so it's not one we drive
near very often. And the other
one I've seen is so far away
the pizza would be very cold
so I don't order them there.
But that one has a walk up window
for pizza, this one forces you
to park and walk inside and wait
in line

Just in case those pictures
make it look like this is a short
walk, keep in mind parking close
to the door is not always possible

|
|
Anyone can watch the crew make
pizzas through the clear wall.
This is a big plus in my book.
Any restaurant that has the integrity
to show customers where the food
is made is going to put extra
effort into cleanliness and quality.
I have been eating these pizzas
for a long time, and never had
a quality issue

They make a lot of pizzas here
each day, in addition to carry
out orders they offer pizza by
the slice and the is always a
line of people waiting to buy
pizza, soda or the other very
inexpensive items on their limited
but interesting menu. I only
get the pizza

A tip, if you notice that some
of your pizza 'evaporates' on
the way home due to the dry climate
of Tucson AZ, try having the
pizza left uncut. Just cut it
at home

|
|
Here is a cheese that was left
uncut. This way custom size slices
can be cut

|
|
These pizzas come in a giant
box which lets us know these
are baked pizzas and not fried
(which would be fattening) or
boiled (which would be gross)

We needed to shop for Christmas,
so we shopped around while our
pizzas were made. We were able
to find liquid presents for some
of the people on our gift list
who appreciate this kind of thing

|
|
We also bought water and juice

|
|
And a quick look at the fruit
room to see what's in season
(stock)

|
|
On the way to the registers
we checked out the emergency
and survival section, inexpensive
safety equipment and long term
storage emergency food

|
|
This bucket is supposed to provide
enough supplies to last a few
people a few days

|
|
On the way out we filled up
the gas tank, as a member we
get to use these pumps which
are a few cents cheaper than
most other stations in town
