Hiking is a popular recreational pastime in Arizona, as a get-away from urban living, while enjoying the beauty and wildlife of nature. Hiking season runs all year in Arizona. Of course, with unpredictable weather and fires, some trails may be closed anytime during the season. The websites for the area will usually inform you of any closures or cautions and we provide links for most of the trails in our directory Search Tucson Pictures

Wide Mouth Nalgene Bottle

These durable bottles have been popular with outdoor enthusiasts for years. The wide mouth works great for mixing powdered drinks and adding ice cubes. Strong transparent plastic allows the contents to be seen at any time, so how full, and what is inside are always apparent. These containers work very well with water pumps and filters too. Some small filters can fit inside one of these Wide Mouth Nalgene Bottles. First aid kits and survival kits have also been kept clean and watertight inside containers like these. We have used these types of bottle to store, mix and pour pancake batter on camping trips. A 32 ounce (one quart) bottle like this one costs less than $10 and can be re-used many times and can last for years even with daily use. Most gear manufactures make pouches and pockets of larger bags to hold the standard size Wide Mouth Nalgene Bottle

The cap is attached to the bottle so it is difficult to loose, however the cap does end up dropping into your face when drinking from the Wide Mouth Nalgene Bottle. The lids are made to fit perfectly with bottles creating a leak proof seal

Our third video review of this bag we quickly go over the CCW pocket on the Maxpedition JUMBO Versipack.
It makes it a good CCW option with a secure hook & loop holster (about $10) in the inside pocket of the Versipack. Very easy to draw from this set up
